Vote "Yes" on 35

There isn’t a bottleneck of road-construction projects in the Coachella Valley -- yet. But as the valley continues to grow, that day could be just around the corner.

That said, we see Proposition 35 as a pre-emptive strike, a measure that could help prevent a backlog of road-construction projects. Proposition 35 would allow state and local governments to use private architects and engineers for public-works projects.

Voting "yes" on Proposition 35 means that the state could contract with private individuals or firms for architectural and engineering services in all situations rather than only under certain conditions.
Support for Proposition 35 also would give state and local governments the flexibility they need to make sure vital projects are completed on time. Vote "yes" on 35.
