There are thousands of overdue highway, rail transit, earthquake retrofitting and other public works projects. Caltrans cannot get the job done alone.

Proposition 35 is a straightforward initiative that simply allows California governments to use qualified private sector engineers and architects where it makes sense to do so – something most other states already do.

Public/private partnerships will get the job done sooner, safely and at a $2.5 billion taxpayer savings.

That’s why hundreds of local governments, schools, transportation agencies, engineers, earthquake safety experts and more than a dozen taxpayer groups have joined together to pass Prop. 35.

"More than 30 daily newspapers across the state urge a 'YES' vote on Prop. 35!"
